Description

HULL INSPECTION Hulls were inspected above and below the waterline visually and using percussion testing (sounding with a mallet). Primary considerations were structural integrity and condition of laminate, condition of through hulls and condition of gel coat. Structurally good. No signs of delamination were found. There were no "hard spots" where the structural components are joined to the hulls. Through hulls were inspected, good condition and secure to the hull. Rub rail secure to the hull and in good shape. Cosmetic condition of the gel coat is good, no major blemishes. Bottom was inspected for signs of osmotic blistering, none were visible. Bottom paint is adequate at this time.
Deck and Deck Fittings Deck was inspected visually and using a moisture detection device. Inspection was done with the following criteria: condition of deck laminate, moisture content of deck core, and condition and attachment of fittings and cleats. Good condition throughout. No signs of structural cracking or delamination were found. There were no voids in the laminate evident. Moisture meter testing was done in random areas with a Tramex moisture detection device using the relative scale. Readings were low wherever checked. Drainage from the deck is good. Cosmetic condition of the gel coat is good, no real crazing or cracking in gel coat. An adequate Delta-type anchor is on board attached with an all-chain rode to a Lewmar electric windlass, which was observed working at time of survey. Cleats and other fittings are well attached and well located. Seating in good condition.
Interior Inspection Interior accommodations are good, with good fitting of structural components. The flooring hatches are not completely flush to sole (pictures pages 30-31). There was no leaking noted from exterior. Galley consists of Kenyon induction electric stove, Isotherm refrigeration and Toshiba microwave. There is also a Kenyon electric grill and Vittifrigo icemaker on the bridge. Equipment installed in accordance with normal industry practices and observed working, including hot water. (Icemaker not on long enough to make ice). There are three heads, all with electric toilets and showers. Showers drain to grey water sump. Equipment observed working. Starboard toilet is a little noisy. Four automatic bilge pumps are installed. Working at time of survey. Webasto Air air conditioning is installed (5 zone), four observed working. The starboard side was not going on fully.
Propulsion Machinery  Boat is powered by two Volvo diesel engines (believed to be 320 horsepower), which are fresh water cooled. Serial #A1148539 on port and A1148203 on starboard. Hour meters read 8.3 and 8.2. Engines are mounted adequately in hulls. There are no signs of major rust or corrosion. Fuel lines are of an approved type and show no leaks. No leaking of oil was observed.   Power is transmitted through stainless shafts (approximately 1 3/8” diameter, actually metric size) to 500-millimeter diameter x 600-millimeter pitch 4-bladed bronze props. (approximately 19.7 ” x 23.6”). Shafts appear straight and undamaged. Props in good shape, no chipped or bent blades. Appear in good tune when rotated against a straight edge. Cutless bearings show no excess play. Rudders in good shape and fully operational. Bow thruster observed working. Not especially powerful.
Tanks and Piping Tankage and plumbing are inspected with the following criteria: Condition and proper installation of components, proper hose and piping runs, and galvanic compatibility. Fuel tankage is of 5052 aluminum, a common and proper marine grade alloy. No outward evidence of leaks. Reported capacity is 370 gallons. Water tankage is plastic, good condition, with no leaks or other damages. Reported capacity is 206 gallons total. Holding tankage is plastic, good condition. No evidence of leaks. Reported capacity is 63 gallons. Fill and delivery lines were inspected where accessible, good condition. Marelon seacocks are installed where applicable and observed working.
Electrical System  Electrical system was examined for compliance with published industry standards. These standards involve proper wire connections, wire sizes, chafe protection and circuit protection. Boat has AC and DC capabilities. AC provided by shorepower, an inverter and a 9 kw Kohler generator, serial# 33JGGMJG0011). Power is supplied by 4 200 AH AGM batteries in addition to 2 105 AH AGM batteries for engine starting and a 60 AH AGM for generator. Batteries are adequately secured in their locations.   No dates marked on batteries, but no doubt original given age of boat.   AC panel has mains and 20 circuits, protected by breakers. DC panel has mains and 22 circuits, also protected by breakers. There is an additional panel on flybridge. Wiring was inspected where visible. Good condition with no excess corrosion or poor connections seen. Battery solenoids are installed on panel on starboard side. Navigation lights were checked, all working. Courtesy lights were observed working. Interior lights observed working. Outlets were checked with a polarity tester, all read “correct”. GFCI type outlets installed in some places, ground fault test function confirmed working. Overhead lights observed working. Spotlight observed working.
Electronic Equipment/Navigation Instruments Raymarine hybrid touch plotter/radar/sounder/camera (2) Raymarine VHF radio (2) Raymarine autopilot (2) Raymarine depth gauge (2) Electronics observed working.
Safety Equipment 1 hand-held fire extinguisher 1 throwable (Type IV PFD) 6 life jackets (Type I PFD) First aid kit Flare kit Liferaft
